This is a gorgeous Maru obi
with large 'Kiku'(chrysanthemum) pattern, which is woven on the black background.
The vivid pattern glows very well on the black background.
Textile is relatively stiff silk and jinken (rayon) blend.
There is a small loop of white string on the edge, around 'maegara' (front pattern on belly). We don't know what it is for though.(refer to the 10th flaws photo)
It seems like the original owner tied it with variety ways of fancy bow. So that, it has folding lines throughout.
