This is a casual Tsume-Tsuzure Nagoya obi
with a design of 'housouge'(large karabana flower), which is woven on the pale salmon pink background.
Textile is exquisite silk and has smooth touch.
One threads by one threads, it was woven elaborately with nails, and it had to be taken incredibly long time to be completed.
It also has "HATSURIKOU" (small gap in the boundaries of colors), which is the distinctive feature of Tsume tsuzure
The obi has one side designed at the front part when it is tied.
When you start wrapping the obi from your left tummy to right(Rotate obi clockwise), designed side of Maegara will show.
*The real base color is relatively more reddish than the photos.
It is discolored slightly overall, especially, prominent discoloration can be seen upper otaiko and near 'tesaki'(narrow end).
The stain lower otaiko will appear when tied.
There are reddish dyestuffs and molds upper otaiko.
There are some stains on maegara(front patterned part).(A)
There are other flaws such as prominent folding lines.
Please check detail photos.
It seems to be not suitable to wear due to the stains and discoloration.
However, we hope you enjoy its elegant design!
