This is a casual Tsume tsuzure Nagoya obi
with a design of flower and bird, which is woven on the pale blue gray background.
It was woven amazingly with "Tsume Tsuzure" technique. One thread by one thread, elaborately with nails.
It takes incredibly long time to complete.
It has special kind of comfortable and medium touch of Tsume tsuzure
It also has "Hatsurikou" (small gap in the boundaries of colors), which is the distinctive feature of Tsume tsuzure
Textile is exquisite silk and has smooth touch.
The obi has one side designed at the front part when it is tied.
When you start wrapping the obi from your left tummy to right(Rotate obi clockwise), designed side of Maegara will show.
It has folding lines and slight discoloration on the background.
Discoloration can be seen on the creases, too.
Discoloration lower otaiko can be hidden when tied.
Although not shown on the figure, there is a tiny stain on right edge of otaiko.
Also, some tiny stains can be seen on maegara(front patterned part), too.
Please check detail photos.
If these flaws do not bother you, it could be still tied.
Please enjoy its charming fashion!
