This is an elegant Nagoya obi
with a design of flower basket and flower cart such as 'kiku'(chrysanthemum) and 'botan' (peony), which is woven on the ivory background.
Raden (design in mother-of-pearl inlay) and gold glazing are added on the design and fascinatingly shine by the angle of light.
Also, gold foil threads woven in the background are elegantly shining.
Textile is exquisite silk and has soft touch.
It has folding lines and tiny stain on tare end.
(A) on otaiko(square bow) becomes sticky on foiled part and thin paper seems to be attached.
The flaw indicated as peeling spot is not a flaw, but is a design.
There are some more tiny stains on both sides of maegara(front patterned part) than the figure shown.
Please check detail photos.
If these flaws do not bother you, it could be still tied.
Please enjoy its graceful fashion!
