This is an eye-catching vintage Nagoya obi
with a design of sunflower, which is embroidered with ribbon.
Various color ribbons are embroidered fashionably.
Textile is damask shusu(satin) silk and has smooth touch.
The obi has one side designed at the front part when it is tied.
When you start wrapping the obi from your right tummy to left(Rotate obi counterclockwise), designed side of maegara will show.
Its length is rather short, 10'8"7/8(327.5cm).
Although not shown on the photo and figure, ribbon threads on maegara(front patterned part) are missing by fray partly.
The snag on otaiko is not so prominent.
There are frayed parts throughout both edges.
There are other flaws such as folding lines and a hole.
Please check detail photos.
Unfortunately, it is no longer wearable due to the fabric is getting weak.
However, please enjoy its full taste of vintage!
