This is an elegant Fukuro obi
with a design of such as flower eating bird, 'Housouge'(imaginary Chinese flower) and 'karabana'(imaginary flower in China), which is embroidered.
Drawn work(one of the technique of removing thread partly to make a ground textile seen through) is added to the pattern.
Pink colored lining seen through the drawn work is attractive.
Textile is exquisite silk and has soft touch.
Although not shown on the figure, it has a couple of white stains on the plain part between the square mark of the sheet and tesaki.
It has no folding lines and seems to be untied.
The snags are tiny and not so noticeable.
For the details, please refer to the photos and the sheet.
It's still wearable enough in very good condition.
Please enjoy its graceful pattern adding extra elegance to your kimono fashion!
