This is a graceful vintage Nagoya obi
with a design of such as 'Kakitsubata'(Iris Laevigata), 'Sakura'(cherry blossom) and bamboo leaf on stream, which is embroidered and dyed.
The vibrant pattern emerges out against the black background.
Textile is exquisite silk and has soft touch.
The dyed 'Maegara' (front patterned part) is on both sides, but the embroidered 'Maegara' (front patterned part) is on one side.
When you start wrapping the obi from your left tummy to right(Rotate obi clockwise), Maegara with embroidery work will show.
Not shown on the sheet and in the photos, it has a fes slight tiny stains on the plain part of the belt part.
It also has slight patinas on the white patterned parts of otaiko(square bow) and 'Maegara' (front patterned part).(not so noticeable)
Overall, it has prominent discoloration.

The stain on 'Maegara' (front patterned part) is tiny and not noticeable when tied.
