This is an impressive vintage Maru obi
with flying crane and weave on 'kasumi'(mist) pattern, which is woven.
Its realistic large crane pattern is so eye-catching!
Textile is exquisite silk and has soft touch.
The pattern at otaiko(square bow) part is designed upside down from kaikiri-line(end mark line) to be tied with hikinuki style.
Also, both edges are sewn.
The gold foil threads on tare end are coming loose.(1st flaw photo)
Although not shown on the figure, a stain can be seen on otaiko, too.
It has discoloration and tiny patinas mainly on white parts of the pattern.(2nd flaw photo)
Besides, it has a folding line and smudges can be seen along it.
Please check detail photos.
Though it has some flaws by ages, please enjoy its full taste of vintage!
