This is a tasteful antique Maru obi
from Meiji Period(1868-1912).
It has fine round 'kiku'(chrysanthemum) pattern, which is woven.
Textile is exquisite silk and has soft touch.
Its length is rather short, 13'3/4(398cm).
There are rather large stains between otaiko and maegara(front patterned part), but are not so prominent because they blends in with the pattern.
Although not shown on the figure, the threads on edges near maegara are coming loose about 7"7/8(20cm).
There are other flaws such as a slight folding line.
Please check detail photos.
However, it is in very good conditions as a vintage.
Please enjoy its full taste of vintage!
