This is a graceful vintage Maru obi
with casket and flower such as 'botan' (peony), 'kiku'(chrysanthemum) and 'ume'(Japanese plum) pattern, which is woven.
The gold foil threads woven in the pattern are shining gracefully.
Textile is exquisite silk and has soft touch.
The pattern at otaiko(square bow) part is designed upside down from kaikiri-line(end mark line) to be tied with hikinuki style.
Although not shown on the figure, it has a snag lower otaiko.
There are some more stains than the figure shown lower otaiko, near 'tesaki'(narrow end) and so on.
There are other flaws such as discoloration overall and slight folding lines.
Please check detail photos.
Unfortunately, it is no longer wearable due to the fabric is getting weak.
However, please enjoy its full taste of vintage!
