This is a Nagoya obi
with abstract and 'Seigaiha'(wave) on 'ezara'(decorated plate) design, which is dyed with batik technique.
It is dyed by Takeharu Saeki, a hand-carving wooden dyer.
The distinctive hue is so attractive.
Textile is exquisite Tsumugi
silk and has soft, light and nubby touch with rusty atmosphere.
There is a stamp of the dyer.
The actual background color is relatively deeper than the photos.
Though the photo shows uneven colors by the angle of light, actual background color is one color.
Although not shown on the photo and figure, it has discoloration from the tare end to the triangle part, and it will be a little bothering when tied.
Though it has some flaws, it is in very good condition overall.
Please enjoy this charming design for your daily use.
