This is a summer Sha Fukuro obi
with flower and peony in circle design, which is embroidered with Shazashi embroidery technique.
Its fine embroidery work is impressive.
Textile is transparent silk and has a light touch.
Its length is rather long, 15"5' (470cm).
When you start wrapping the obi from your right tummy to left (Rotate obi counterclockwise), a rather prominent brown stain would show on 'maegara' (front pattern on belly).
However it would be hidden when tied well.
When you start wrapping the obi from your left tummy to right (Rotate obi clockwise), another stain would show, but it is relatively slight and inconspicuous.
There are some other flaws such as folding lines.
For the details, please refer to the photos and the sheet.
It has slight musty smell.
Although there are such flaws, please enjoy its elegant design in summer.
