This is a gorgeous vintage Maru obi
with a design of such as 'Kiku'(chrysanthemum), 'Ume' (plum blossom) and nandina on fan, which is woven.
Gold and silver threads woven in the pattern are gracefully shining.
Textile is exquisite silk and has soft touch.
The pattern at otaiko(square bow) part is designed upside down from kaikiri-line(end mark line) to be tied with hikinuki style.
The length is rather short.155.91in(396cm)
It has fray throughout the edges and threads are partially missing.
It has discoloration and patinas by ages overall.
It has some other flaws such as folding lines.
