This is a chic Nagoya obi
with a design of white 'botan' (peony), which is dyed.
Silver foil threads woven on the design are elegantly shining.
Textile is exquisite silk and has soft touch.
Slight discoloration can be seen on blank part and bothering a little.
It has stains on maegara(front patterned part) but not so prominent.
And when you start wrapping the obi from your right tummy to left(Rotate obi counterclockwise), they will be hidden.
There are other flaws such as folding lines.
Please check detail photos.
Although not shown on the figure, there are a couple of whitish stains upper otaiko, and are slight but disturbing with black background.
The stains may be hidden when tied.
Besides, rather noticeable patinas can be seen on 'tesaki'(narrow end).
Though it has some flaws, we hope you enjoy its graceful design!
