This is a Tsume tsuzure Nagoya obi
for mourning with 'kanzesui' (swirl) pattern, which is woven.
One threads by one threads, it was woven elaborately with nails, and it had to be taken incredibly long time to be completed. It has special kind of comfortable and medium touch of Tsume tsuzure
The woven silver foiled threads elegantly shine.
Textile is exquisite soft silk.
There is only one 'maegara' (front patterned part) which will be shown when you start wrapping the obi from your left tummy to right(Rotate obi clockwise).
When you start wrapping the obi from your left tummy to right (Rotate obi clockwise), the maegara will appear.
The discoloration is not that noticeable.
There are stains and smudges along the edges of the wrong side.
There are some folding lines.
