This is a Houmongi
kimono with exotic design such as 'Karabana' (imaginary flower in China) and bird on stripe of stream pattern, which is embroidered.
Drawn work(one of the technique of removing thread partly to make a ground textile seen through) is added.
Textile is exquisite silk, and it is soft and smooth, which is similar to Oshima.
The collar is hiro-eri (unfolded).
There is a name of dyer on the right front panel.
It has a dyed kamon(family crest) on the nape.
It has basting stitches and seems just been cleaned.
It has about two stains on the right back sleeve.(A)
