This is a Fukuro obi
with elegant flower circle, 'Karabana' (imaginary flower in china), and 'shokkou-mon' (octagon and rectangle pattern) pattern, which is woven.
Silver and gold foil threads included in fabric and the pattern twinkle gently and makes this obi suitable for a formal usage.
Textile is silk, and it has soft to the touch.
Snag on Otaiko pattern will not stand out when tied.
It has some other flaw, such as folding lines, as shown on photos.
Please see photos for details.
Overall, it is in very good condition and can continue to be worn.
