This is an elegant Fukuro obi
with brilliant 'Housouge'(imaginary Chinese flower) pattern, which is woven.
This beautiful piece is woven by Kondaya-Genbei, one of the very famous obi weavers in Japan.
The letters of 'Pure platinum' and 'Kondaya-Genbei' are woven inside the tare.
Gold and silver foiled threads woven on the base and pattern shine gorgeously
Textile is exquisite silk and has soft touch.
It has prominent folding lines, but they do not bother wearing it.
Though not indicated, the tare end is unpicked for about 3.94in(10cm) to confirm the weaver.
