This is a vintage Nagoya obi
with charming autumn flower design, which is dyed.
Gold glazing is partially added on the design.
It has woven honmon(arranged sayagata) pattern on its base.
Textile is exquisite glossy plain silk and has soft touch.
The length is rather short.131.89in(335cm)
'Maegara' (front patterned part) changes depending on the way of wrapping.
*Though the photo shows uneven colors by the angle of light, actual background color is one color.
This piece is made of vintage kimono.
'Maegara' (front patterned part) is on both side.
When you start wrapping the obi from your left tummy to right(Rotate obi clockwise), many motifs will show.
It has relatively prominent discoloration on the tare and on the wrong side.
The pigment is peeling off on the white patterned parts of kaikiri lines(end mark line).
It has smudges on the tare end and throughout the edges.
It has a tiny stain below the otaiko(square bow), but not so noticeable if tied neatly.
The stain on 'Maegara' (front patterned part) will be hidden when you start wrapping the obi from your right tummy to left(Rotate obi counterclockwise).
It has some other flaws such as prominent folding lines.
