This is a charming Nagoya obi
with tulip design, which is dyed.
Silver glazing arranged on the design is impressive against the black base.
Textile is Shioze silk with its characteristic soft and smooth texture.
It has dyestuffs on the patter of 'otaiko'(square bow), but they are tiny and inconspicuous. (the 7th flaw photo)
It has many peeling spots of silver glazing on 'otaiko'(square bow) and 'maegara' (front pattern on belly), and they are disturbing.
It has whitish flaws by fray on 'maegara' (front pattern on belly) and they are disturbing when you start wrapping the obi from your left tummy to right (Rotate obi clockwise). (The sheet says 'wrinkle' instead.)
It has prominent white stains on 'maegara' (front pattern on belly), and when you start wrapping the obi from your left tummy to right (Rotate obi clockwise), they will appear. (the 6th flaw photo)
There are some other flaws such as noticeable discoloration and folding lines.
For the details, please refer to the photos and the sheet.
Unfortunately, it might be no longer wearable due to the noticeable discoloration.
Please enjoy its charming design itself.
