This is an elegant Shioze Nagoya obi
with bamboo, 'kiku'(chrysanthemum) and 'narihira-bishi'(diamond with droplet) on 'jigami'(fan shape) design, which is embroidered.
The design with embroidery work is glossy three dimensional look.
Textile is Shioze silk, and it has a soft and comfortable smooth touch which is the feature of Shioze silk.
There is only one 'maegara' (front patterned part) and when you start wrapping the obi from your left tummy to right (Rotate obi clockwise), the maegara will appear.
The real base color is paler reddish blue than it is in the photos.
It has stains on 'tare'(wide end) end and they are conspicuous when tied.
The discoloration under 'otaiko'(square bow) can be hidden when tied well.
Not shown on the sheet and in the photos, it has some disturbing white stains on 'maegara' (front pattern on belly).
There are some other flaws such as folding lines.
For the details, please refer to the photos and the sheet.
Unfortunately, it is no longer wearable.
However please enjoy its elegant design itself.
