This is an impressive hitoe(not lined) Meisen
Kimono from Showa period (1926- 1989).
It has winter cherry on abstract painting-like pattern, which is woven.
Its red color design emerges out dynamically against the dark mysterious background.
Textile is exquisite silk and has soft and light touch.
The collar is Bachi-eri(folded collar) and it is hand-sewn.
Shoulder pads and ishiki-ate(lining fabric around hip part) are attached.
It has some stains, especially, on back bodice one is relatively prominent.(A,D)
It also has slight discoloration by ages.
Besides, there are patinas on lining of collar and ishiki-ate.
Please check detail photos.
Though it has some flaws, we hope you enjoy its unique pattern!
