This is a vintage Irotomesode
Kimono with impressive traditional hand drum pattern with flowers which are dyed.
The patterns are partially embroidered.
Textile is Rinzu silk with traditional 'sayagata' pattern and has soft touch.
The collar is bachi-eri(folded collar) and sleeve length is long, which is the feature of kimono from pre WWII.
The actual basic collar is not so vivid but darker grayish blue.
There is no photo but there are pin holes along the shoulder line. The textile is getting weak and we are afraid the holes may become bigger. The stitches are falling off at the right sleeve where the sleeve is attached and also the back panel seam line.
Wear is prominent and stains of the figure are noticeable.
It has a bit of moldy smell.
Please check detail photos.
Since the textile seems to be getting weak, the kimono is not wearable but please enjoy its charming design of vintage as a handicraft material or display!
