This is a Tsumugi Nagoya obi
with artistic watered down? marbling pattern, which is dyed.
Textile is rather nubby Tsumugi
silk, and it has soft to the touch.
There is a signature of the dyer near on the Tare end.
Maegara on both sides have different pattern.
*Background color may seem uneven on photos, but it is actually one tone of color as seen in HTML code*
Tesaki end is rather prominently discolored, and the wrong side is also slightly discolored.
Corners of Taren and Tesaki ends are frayed.
One side of Maegara has stains, so when you start wrapping the obi from your right tummy to left(Rotate obi counterclockwise), clean side of Maegara will show.
Please see photos for details.
Although it has some flaws as mentioned, it still is a very charming item to wear!
