This is an exotic Tsumugi Fukuro obi
with a design of 'karabana'(imaginary flower in China) on 'kiredori'(overlapping fabric scraps), which is embroidered with drawn work(one of the technique of removing thread partly to make a ground textile seen through).
It also has a design of 'shokkou'(octagon and rectangle), tree and woman.
Textile is exquisite Tsumugi
silk and has soft touch.
There is an embroidered letters which mean "Chinese embroidery" inside of 'tare'(wide end).
Its length is rather long, 15'9"(480cm).
There are whitish weaving flaws on otaiko at about 4'2"(127cm) from tare end.
Besides, it has a folding line.
