This is a vintage Nagoya obi
with small 'Ayame'(sweet flag) design, which is embroidered.
Beside the embroidery work, shibori(tie-dye) technique is added on the design.
It has woven honmon(arranged sayagata) pattern on its base.
Textile is exquisite glossy damask effect(rinzu) silk and has soft touch.
*Though the photo shows uneven colors by the angle of light, actual background color is one color.
This piece is made of vintage kimono.
'Maegara' (front patterned part) is on both side.
When you start wrapping the obi from your left tummy to right(Rotate obi clockwise), many motifs will show.
It has discoloration overall.(refer to the 1st flaws photo)
It also has manu patinas overall, especially noticeable on the tare end.(refer to the 2nd flaws photo)
It has many seams, but will be hidden when tied.
It has some other flaws.
