This is a graceful vintage Nagoya obi
with a design such as swallow, butterfly, 'kiku'(chrysanthemum), 'sakura'(cherry blossom) and 'karabana'(imaginary flower in China) on circle, which is dyed.
Fine embroidery work and silver glazing are added on the design partly.
Textile is exquisite silk and has soft touch.
Its length is rather short, 10'5"5/8(319cm).
The pattern at otaiko(square bow) part is designed upside down from kaikiri-line(end mark line) to be tied with hikinuki style.
The obi has one side designed at the front part when it is tied.
When you start wrapping the obi from your left tummy to right(Rotate obi clockwise), designed part will show.
