This is an impressive 'zentsu'(fully patterned) Maru obi
with pair houou(phoenix) on 'tatewaku'(waving line) pattern, which is woven.
The vibrant pattern with woven silver foil threads emerges out against the black background.
Textile is silk and jinken (rayon) blend, and has rather crisp touch.
Although not shown on the photo and figure, silver foil threads throughout both edges are peeled off by fray.
Besides, it has a folding line, tiny snags and a tear on 'tesaki'(narrow end) of wrong side.
