This is a chic antique Maru obi
with a design of such as flying crane, 'Matsu'(pine tree) and 'Kiku'(chrysanthemum), which is woven in Meiji period(1868-1912).
Textile is exquisite silk and has soft touch.
It has kaikiri lines(end mark line) on both ends, and can be tied in 'hikinuki' style.
The pattern at otaiko(square bow) part is designed upside down from kaikiri-line(end mark line) to be tied with hikinuki style.
Its length is rather short. 12'9"1/2(390cm)
Woven threads are missing by fray on the edges and background in places.(As indicated peeling spots/refer to the 1st flaws photo)
It has some other flaws such as folding lines.

It may not have enough strength to be tied for its old age.
