This is a vintage Nagoya obi
with double 'ume' (plum blossom) and 'kiku' (chrysanthemum) design on folding fan, which is woven.
Gold foil threads woven on the design shine modestly.
Textile is exquisite, soft silk.
It has prominent stains on the back of 'Maegara' (front patterned part), but they can be hidden when you start wrapping the obi from your right tummy to left(Rotate obi counterclockwise).
Overall, it has discoloration and patinas by ages and especially, the one on 'Otaiko'(square bow) is noticeable.
Not shown on the sheet and in the photos, it has frays on all edges and the woven yarns on the edge of 'Otaiko'(square bow) are cut off by fray.
There are some other flaws.
For the details, please refer to the photos and the sheet.
Unfortunately, it is no longer wearable due to its weak fabric.
Please enjoy its charming, vintage design itself.
