This is a vintage summer Monro Maru obi
with bird, Shiba(grass) and 'Ashi'(reed) pattern, which is embroidered and dyed with silver glazing.
Bird's feather is elaborately embroidered one thread by one thread.
It has woven wave pattern on its base.
Textile is transparent ro silk, and has soft touch.
Pattern is placed upside down, which is suitable for Hikinuki knot style.
'Maegara' (front patterned part) changes depending on the way of wrapping.
Although not shown on the photo and figure, it has patinas overall and on the lining.
It has prominent discoloration overall, and it will be bothering when tied.
It has some other flaws such as holes and stains.
For the details, please refer to the photos and the sheet.
Unfortunately, it is no longer wearable due to the many holes.
We would like you to enjoy this charming design of vintage as materials and interior decor.
