This is a glamorous Fukuro obi
with a design of flying crane and flower such as 'matsu'(pine tree), camellia and 'kiku'(chrysanthemum) on 'kiredori'(overlapping fabric scraps), which is woven.
Gold glazing and Raden (design in mother-of-pearl inlay) are added on otaiko(square bow) and 'Maegara' (front patterned part) and fascinatingly shine by the angle of light.
Textile is exquisite silk and has soft touch.
It has a stamp of the designer's signature upper tare.
Although not shown on the figure, there are some peeling spots on otaiko and maegara, but not so prominent.
It also has folding lines.
Please check detail photos.
However, it still can be tied!
Please enjoy its graceful design adding extra elegance to your kimono fashion!
