This is a brilliant Fukuro obi
with seasonable flowers such as 'kiku' (chrysanthemum), 'kiri'(paulownia) and camellia on 'tanzaku'(strip of paper) pattern, which is woven with 'karaori' (woven thickly in chinese style) technique.
Its elegant motifs are designed on the thin textile base as relief.
The gold foiled threads woven on it shine elegantly.
Textile is exquisite, soft silk.
*The real blue base color is rather gray than it is in the photos.
It seems to be an untied one without any folding lines.
The woven yarns on 'otaiko'(square bow) have become fluffy by fray, but they are inconspicuous when tied.
It has discoloration on the blank part.
For the details, please refer to the photos and the sheet.
Although there are such flaws above, it is still wearable.
Please enjoy its brilliant design for auspicious occasions.
