This is a brilliant Fukuro obi
with 'Housouge'(imaginary Chinese flower) and 'arisugawa' (stylized deer) pattern on 'kiredori' (overlapping fabric scraps), which is embroidered.
The base is arranged with drawn work(one of the technique of removing thread partly to make a ground textile seen through) technique.
Textile is exquisite silk and has a soft touch.
It has the gold foiled threads woven on the lining.
It has frays on the edges and has become fluffy a bit, but they are inconspicuous when tied. (the 1st flaw photo)
There are some other flaws such as slight folding lines.
For the details, please refer to the photos and the sheet.
It is still wearable enough.
Please enjoy its brilliant pattern for auspicious occasions.
