This is an impressive vintage Fukuro obi
with exotic peacock with silver foiled threads woven on and karabana(imaginary Chinese flower) pattern with bright colored dyed on it.
The brilliant pattern is woven on the yellowish pale gray base.
Textile is exquisite, soft silk.
Its length is rather shorter, 13'2" 8402cm).
It might have been remade from Maru obi.
It has a seam on Tare. (It might have been the one for 'hikinuki' style.)
It has folding lines from 'tesaki'(narrow end) to Tare. (the 4th flaw photo)
It has smudges along to the folding lines on 'otaiko'(square bow) and they are disturbing when tied.
Overall, it has patinas (the 3rd flaw photo) and discoloration (the 2nd flaw photo).
For the details, please refer to the photos and the sheet.
Although there are such flaws, please enjoy its design which only vintage items have.
