This is an elegant Tsume-Tsuzure Nagoya obi
with a design of 'ume'(Japanese plum) and 'kaede'(maple leaf) on jigami'(fan shape), which is woven.
Gold and silver foil threads woven on the design are elegantly shining.
Textile is exquisite thick silk and has smooth touch.
The obi has one side patterned at the front part when it is tied.
When you start wrapping the obi from your left tummy to right(Rotate obi clockwise), Maegara will show.
One threads by one threads, it was woven elaborately with nails, and it had to be taken incredibly long time to be completed.
Although not shown on the photo and figure, silver foil threads on the design are peeled off, and may be bothering when tied.
The stains lower the otaiko can be hidden when tied. (1st flaw photo)
The stains on the design will appear when tied, but not so prominent.(no photo)
Besides, it has a folding line and smudges along it.
Please check detail photos.
However, it still can be tied!
Please enjoy its graceful fashion!
*The background color may seem irregular on photos, but it is actually one tone of color as seen in HTML code.
It has a bit of old smell.
