This is a vintage Nagoya obi
with charming flower basket motifs, which are elaborately embroidered with ribbon threads on the black background.
Pacthwork is added on the basket of otaiko(square bow) and 'Maegara' (front patterned part).
Textile is glossy silk and jinken (rayon) blend with woven ichimatsu(checkerboard) pattern and has soft touch.
The length is rather short.131.10in(333cm)
The motif on otaiko(square bow) will be mostly hidden when tied.
Although not shown on the photo and figure, some ribbon threads are coming loose on otaiko(square bow) and they will be bothering when tied.
It has some other flaws as shown on photos.
The stain on 'Maegara' (front patterned part) will be hidden when you start wrapping the obi from your left tummy to right(Rotate obi clockwise).
The edges on the wrong side are frayed.
It has some other flaws such as seam and folding lines.
