This is an elegant Fukuro obi
with 'Nadeshiko'(dianthus) on 'Tsuzumi'(Japanese hand drum) pattern, which is woven on the foiled background.
The design with lots of foil threads woven in the background and pattern chine gracefully.
It is tailored to be long with sticking out the tare end part which is usually come inside.
Textile is exquisite silk and has soft touch.
It seems like the original owner of this obi enjoyed many fancy bow.
So that there are folding lines and wrinkles through out.
