This is a graceful Fukuro obi
with a design of royal house, 'Kiku'(chrysanthemum), 'Sakura'(cherry blossom) and 'Shou-chiku-bai'( pine tree, bamboo and ume blossom) on stream, which is embroidered.
Gold foil threads woven on the background are elegantly shining.
Textile is exquisite silk and it has soft touch.
'Maegara' (front patterned part) is on one side.
When you start wrapping the obi from your right tummy to left(Rotate obi counterclockwise), Maegara will show.
It has relatively prominent folding lines.
It seems to be tied with large width of 'Maegara' (front patterned part).
The edges are frayed throughout, and foil peeling spots and foil thread missing parts can be seen a lot.
It has some other flaws.
For the details, please refer to the photos and the sheet.
Though it has some flaws, it is in very good condition overall.
