This is a vintage Maru obi
with shikishi(square paper) pattern, which is woven with gold foil threads.
It has sho-chiku-bai(auspicious three motifs - pine tree, bamboo and Japananese aprocot blossom) and takara-zukushi(treasure assortment) design on it.
Textile is silk and has soft touch.
Stiff lining is not added inside.
The pattern at otaiko(square bow) part is designed upside down from kaikiri-line(end mark line) to be tied with hikinuki style.
Kaikiri-line is largely loosing and it looks easy to be cut.
Overall of edges are frayed and some parts are threadbare.
Also it has other flaws, so please check detail photos.
However, we hope you can enjoy its graceful vintage design at your hands!
