This is an attractive vintage Maru obi
with seasonal flowers and Chinese-like people on folding screen pattern, which is woven.
Gold and silver threads woven in the pattern are gracefully shining.
Textile is exquisite silk and has soft touch.
The otaiko pattern is set upside down, and it's to be tied in 'hikinuki' style.
It has smudges on both corners and throughout the edges.
It has frays partially on the tare end and near 'Maegara' (front patterned part).
It has slight discoloration overall.
It seems like the original owner of this obi enjoyed many fancy bow.
So that there are relatively prominent folding lines through out.
It has some other flaws such as snags.

Unfortunately, it is no longer wearable due to the weaken fabric.
It must be an amazing handicraft material!
