This is a graceful Houmongi
Kimono with a design of large 'botan' (peony) and 'sakura'(cherry blossom)-like flower, which is dyed.
With its watercolor style Yuzen
technique by hand, it has exceptionally gorgeous atmosphere.
Textile is exquisite silk and has soft touch.
The sleeve length is long, which is the feature of kimono from pre WWII.
It has slight but large stains on the back left sleeve and rather disturbing.
It has discoloration overall on the outside and noticeable discoloration and patinas can be seen on the lining.
There are other flaws such as wear on the collar and smudges on the both cuffs.
Please check detail photos.
Unfortunately, it is no longer wearable.
However, we hope you enjoy its charming design!
