This is an elegant Fukuro obi
with 'mukai-dori'(pair birds), houou(phoenix), 'housouge'(large karabana flower) and 'karabana'(imaginary flower in China) on lattice pattern, which are woven.
'Raden'(design in mother-of-pearl inlay) foils of otaiko and maegara( front patterned part) are fantastically shining.
Silver foil threads woven in the background and pattern are gorgeously shining.
Textile is exquisite silk and has soft touch.
Lining is not added inside.
When you start wrapping the obi from your right tummy to left(Rotate obi counterclockwise), raden parts of Maegara will show.
Lots of patinas can be seen such as otaiko and maegara. They may be prominent when tied.
There are a couple of other flaws such as folding lines.
Please check detail photos.
This item is not suitable to tie at formal occasion.
However, we hope you enjoy this gorgeous design!
