This is a Houmongi
kimono with elegant water front pattern of wave, boat, bridge, Matsu (pine tree), 'hagi'(bush clover) and Iris, which is dyed.
With dark and light greens, thick and thin stripes are dyed.
*Background color may seem uneven on photos, but it is actually one tone of color as seen in HTML code*
Textile is silk, and it has soft touch.
Sideways lies are woven on fabric.
Collar is hiro-eri (unfolded).
Wear on collar may be prominent, but smudges are light(A.B).
Stains are very fine and they will blend in with the pattern. (C)
It has some other flaws, such as stains on lining, as shown on photos.
Please see photos for details.
There is a tiny stain near uchiage line and a uneven spot of dyeing, 5mm(0.195in), at about 56cm(22in) from the shoulder line of left front panel.(sorry no photos)
There are also tiny snags and uneven spots of weaving in places.
Its lining is slightly discolored due to the age, and at about 66cm(25.9in) from the bottom, there is a stain.
Most of the flaws are not too disturbing, and it still can be worn.
