This is an elegant Fukuro obi
with a design of such as phoenix, 'Housouge'(imaginary Chinese flower) and 'karabana'(imaginary flower in China) on 'Michinaga-dori'(placed curve or polygonal line as the pattern bonded with some different colors and designs), which is dyed with gold glazing.
'Raden'(design in mother-of-pearl inlay) foils are added and shine fascinatingly by the angle of light.
Raden is added on one side of 'Maegara' (front patterned part).
When you start wrapping the obi from your right tummy to left(Rotate obi counterclockwise), raden will show.
The silver threads woven in the background shine elegantly.
Textile is exquisite silk and has soft touch.
The stains near 'Maegara' (front patterned part) will appear when tied.(No photos)
When you start wrapping the obi from your right tummy to left(Rotate obi counterclockwise), they will be hidden.
The two prominent stains (or discoloration) are noticeable, but not in trouble.
It has some other flaws such as folding lines.
For the details, please refer to the photos and the sheet.
It's still wearable enough in very good condition.
Please enjoy this gorgeous design perfect for celebratory occasions!
