This is a vintage Nagoya obi
with vivid 'Kiku'(chrysanthemum) motif, which is embroidered.
The fine embroidery works which were done a stitch by a stitch are three dimensional and beautifully glossy.
There is woven Sayagata pattern on the background.
Textile is soft and shinny silk and jinken (rayon) blend.
*The real color of it is a little less green than photos.
There is only one 'maegara' (front patterned part) which will be shown when you start wrapping the obi from your left tummy to right(Rotate obi clockwise).
It is relatively short.(10'11"/332cm)
There is discoloration throughout due to its age.
There are frays on the sides throughout.
The fabric has been weaken.
There are some other flaws such as folding lines, small holes.
For the details, please refer to the photos and sheet.
Unfortunately, it is no longer in wearable condition.
However, it is still charming design which we would like you to enjoy.
