This is a Shioze Nagoya obi
with a 'kiku'(chrysanthemum) motif, which is dyed with tasteful solid ink.
Textile is shioze silk, and it has soft and smooth touch.
There is dyer's stamp on Otaiko.
The obi has one side patterned at the front part when it is tied.
When you start wrapping the obi from your right tummy to left(Rotate obi counterclockwise), Maegara will show.
A brownish stain can be seen also on left edge of Otaiko. It will show when tied and prominent. Its size is about 0.1in(5mm). (*It is not indicated on the figure.)
Some more patinas can be seen overall than the figure shown.
Stain on Maegara( front patterned part) can be hidden, if tied neatly.
There are a couple of other flaws.
Please check detail photos.
However, we hope you enjoy tying it as everyday clothes!
*The background color may look uneven in the photos but actual color is one tone just as HTML color.
