This is an elegant opened Tsume-Tsuzure Nagoya obi
with 'Botan'(peony), 'Fuji'(wisteria) and 'Hanabishi'(flower-diamond) on 'Shokkou'(octagon and rectangle) pattern, which is woven.
Gold and silver foil threads woven in the design are elegantly shining.
Textile is exquisite thick silk and has smooth touch.
The 'Maegara' (front patterned part) is on one side.
When you start wrapping the obi from your left tummy to right(Rotate obi clockwise), Maegara will show.
The real base color is lighter pinkish than photos.
One threads by one threads, it was woven elaborately with nails, and it had to be taken incredibly long time to be completed.
The patina on the Otaiko(square bow) is small and not noticeable.
It has some other flaws such as folding lines and smudges along the lines.
For the details, please refer to the photos and the sheet.
It's still wearable enough with very good condition.
This elegant piece will be versatile and will come in use both on formal and casual occasions!
