This is a Fukuro obi
with a design of diagonal 'Karabana'(imaginary flower in China), which is woven.
It is made by Watabun, one of the most famous obi weavers in Kyoto Nishijin.
Gold foil threads woven in the base and the design are elegant.
Textiles of both sides are exquisite transparent Tsumugi
silk and has light touch.
There is a stamp of the designer's signature on the Tare.
Although there are rather prominent folding lines, there is not other prominent flaw and it is in very good condition.
