This is a vintage Maru obi
with 'mukai-kujaku'(pair peacocks), 'housouge'(large karabana flower) and 'karabana'(imaginary flower in China) patterns, which are woven.
Gold foil threads woven on the patterns are gorgeously shining.
Textile is exquisite silk and has soft touch.
Otaiko part is set upside down, and it's to be tied in 'hikinuki' style.
Its length is rather short. 12'11"(394cm)
It has frays on Tare and Tesaki corners.
Threads of edges are frayed overall and missing in some parts. (*These flaws are not indicated on the figure and photos.)
Slight folding line is remained from star mark to Tare end actually.
There are a couple of other flaws.
Please check detail photos.
However, we hope you enjoy its retro and gorgeous design of vintage!
